Under the aegis of CBSE COE PUNE, a CBSE Workshop on Capacity Building programme on Gender Sensitivity was conducted for the teachers at Bhavans Civil lines on 19th July 2025.
The resource persons for the workshop were CBSE appointed Master Trainers Ms Rupali Dey, Principal, Modern School, Nagpur and Dr. Mrs. Unnati Datar, Ex-Principal, Shrinivas Public School, Nagpur.
The workshop began on an auspicious note by lighting of the traditional lamp by the resource person and Mrs. Ashu Khanna, Primary Incharge, BVM, Civil Lines.
The sessions and discussions on Gender issues in education, Awareness about Genders, Role of Power and Violence in Gender Relationships, Gender Sensitivity Pedagogy and Reflections on Gender Sensitive School were highly interactive, activity oriented and Leaner centric.
The workshop emphasized and highlighted the need and importance of identifying and facilitating Gender Sensitivity amongst the students. The resource material was meticulously drafted in accordance to the topic of the workshop. The series of activities conducted by the highly learned and experienced resource persons proved to be not only sessions with Hands-on Training but MIND'S ON training.
The success of the workshop was an outcome of the exemplary leadership, vision, guidance and support of the Principal Mrs Leena Varghese who has always been propagating and relentlessly working in organising such quality workshops for the teachers. Mrs Juna Lakhotia conducted the proceedings for the workshop.
Bhavan's B. P. Vidya Mandir, Civil lines, Nagpur organised one day workshop on the topic of ‘Value Education' under the aegis of CBSE COE Pune.
The objective of the workshop was to foster respect, empathy, honesty and responsibility in students. It featured the interactive session led by CBSE master trainers Shri Manoj Karemore, Principal, DAV School, Katni, Dr. Dharitri Yashvant Raut, PGT, Yavatmal Public School, Yavatmal.
The mentors emphasized that teachers play a key role in modelling and teaching these values through daily interactions and lessons. The interactive session included discussion, real life scenarios and classroom strategies to help teachers integrated value-based learning across subjects. Teachers actively participated and appreciated the practical insights shared. This initiative aimed to strengthen character education and a positive, values-driven school environment. The event began with the traditional lighting of lamp, followed by Saraswati Vandana. The successful ‘Value Education workshop’, conducted under the guidance of the school Principal, Smt. Leena Varghese, empowered teachers with strategies to instill values like empathy, respect, and integrity in students.
Under the aegis of CBSE COE PUNE, a CBSE Workshop on Life Skills (Advanced) was conducted for the teachers at Bhavan’s B. P. Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines on 5th July 2025.
The resource persons for the workshop were CBSE appointed Master Trainers Mrs. Manidipa Banerjee, Principal, Kailashpat Singhaniya High School, Vijaygram, Chindwara and Mrs. Reena Kale, Principal, SOS, Yavatmal.
The workshop began on an auspicious note by lighting of the traditional lamp by the resource person and Mrs Leena Varghese, Principal, BVM, Civil Lines. The sessions- Footprints, Internalization and Application of Life skills, Blending Together, Development of Life skills Education and Measuring Life skills- were highly interactive, activity oriented and Leaner centric.
The workshop emphasized and highlighted the need and importance of identifying and facilitating Life skills (Advance) amongst the students. The resource material was meticulously drafted in accordance to the topic of the workshop. The series of activities conducted by the highly learned and experienced resource persons proved to not only be sessions with Hands-on training but also MIND’S ON training.

Bhavan’s B. P. Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines, Nagpur, organized a two-day workshop on the topic of “Experiential Learning” on 26th & 27th June 2025 under the aegis of CBSE COE Pune. The objective of the workshop was to equip teachers with innovative teaching strategies that foster hands-on learning, real-world application and joyful learning experiences in the classroom. The sessions aimed to shift teaching from rote learning to experiential approaches that deeply engage students.
It featured the interactive session led by CBSE master trainers Ms. Sarbani Bose, Principal, Bhavan’s B. P. Vidya Mandir, Koradi, Nagpur and Ms. Shobha Laxminarayan Soni, Principal, Bohra Central School, Parol, Dist. Jalgaon.
The session emphasized creating classroom experiences that connected concepts to life beyond textbooks, nurturing curiosity, creativity and critical thinking amongst students.
Under the aegis of CBSE COE Pune, a two-day workshop on Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices was conducted on 23rd and 24th June. The session commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp followed by invoking the blessings of the Almighty.
The esteemed resource persons for the workshop were Dr. Minakshi .A .Kale, Principal Bright Scholars School, and Ms. Anuradha Sardeshpande ,former Principal, Gondwana School. Their vast experience and deep insights enriched the session immensely.
The workshop began with an engaging ice-breaking session, setting the tone for collaborative learning. Various key topics were addressed including:--
*Challenges faced in teaching and Discussion on Bloom’s Taxonomy and Understanding the Structure of Assessment with Insights into Internal Assessment and its Framework.
*Importance of Multiple Assessments and Role of Portfolios and Implementation of Subject Enrichment Activities.
*Teachers were thoroughly briefed about the National Curriculum Framework for School Education 2023(NCF-SE-2023). Guidelines were given on how to use the CBSE website. Importance of Physical Education and its grading system, designing of the report cards, scholastic and co-scholastic aspects were clearly explained.
Bhavan's B.P. Vidya Mandir, Civil lines, Nagpur hosted a two day workshop on the topic Competency Based Assessment on18th and 19th June 2025.
The workshop aimed to enhance teachers' understanding and application of Competency based assessment in all subjects at the secondary level. Fifty teachers participated in interactive sessions conducted by CBSE Master Trainers. The resource persons were Mrs. Sundari Sree Pisipati, (PGT) DPS, Nagpur and Mrs. Jagruti Gandecha, Vice Principal, SOS Yavatmal.
The workshop began by lighting of the lamp by the dignitaries followed by Saraswati Vandana rendered by Mrs. Ketki Polke.
The core objective of the workshop was to empower teachers to transition to Competency based approach from the traditional method of assessment. It emphasized on testing the students ability to not just recall but also to apply the knowledge gained in practical scenario.
The workshop was successfully conducted under the able guidance of the Principal Mrs. Leena Varghese.
The Programme was compered by Mrs. Vijaya Pawar.

WORKSHOP ON NATUROPATHY was conducted for staff members on 8th September, 2018. The eminent resource persons for workshop were Dr. Vilas Patil and Dr. Yogesh Kumar. Both are practitioners of naturopathy and represent the Maharashtra Rural Health Service Organizations, Nagpur.
A two day Capacity Building Training Programme for teachers was conducted on Classroom Management at Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines, Nagpur under the aegis of Centre of Excellence, CBSE, Pune on 24th & 25th of November 2018.
The programme was inaugurated with the lighting of the lamp by the Resource Person Mrs. Kana Roy Choudhari, Former Principal, Centre Point School, Katol Road, Nagpur and Mrs. Annapoorni Shashtri, Director, Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Nagpur Kendra.
