The students of Bhavan’s B. P. Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines, Nagpur showcased exceptional talent and artistic finesse at the Interschool Solo Classical Dance Competition organized by J.N. Tata Parsi Girls’ High School, Nagpur, on 25th July 2025. Competing against some of the best young dancers from various schools, BVM Civil Lines proudly bagged the Overall Trophy, marking a remarkable achievement in the field of classical dance.
In the junior category, which featured 19 participants, Miss Anvi Khanapurkar, a young and promising danseuse, captivated the audience with her graceful movements and secured the First Prize. In the senior category, with 23 participants, Miss Aashna Choudhary, a skilled danseuse, impressed the judges with her expressive performance and was awarded the Third Prize.
The excellent performances by both danseuses led to BVM Civil Lines being declared the overall winner, a moment of pride for the entire school community.
The participants were guided by Incharge Teacher Smt. Pallavi Upadeo, whose dedicated mentorship played a key role in their success. The school also acknowledges the constant encouragement and leadership of Principal Smt. Leena Varghese, whose support continues to inspire students to excel beyond the classroom.

In a moment of immense pride for Bhavan’s B.P. Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines,Ku. Avira Jain of Class 8 -C, secured the First Prize in an Inter-School On-the-Spot Painting Competition organised by Prahar Samaj Jagriti Sanstha,Nagpur.
The theme of the competition was “Operation Sindoor”, highlighting India’s resolute response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack. Competing against talented participants from various schools, Avira’s artwork stood out for its creativity, depth, and patriotic expression.
She was awarded a cash prize of ₹3000 for her outstanding performance.She prepared under the guidance of the school’s Art teachers, Shri Mahesh Dably and Shri Vivek Mahure. The Principal, Smt. Leena Varghese, congratulated Avira on her remarkable accomplishment and encouraged all students to continue striving for excellence in creative pursuits.

Bhavan’s Bhagwandas .Purohit Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines, Nagpurreached yet another milestone in its journey of excellence, when it received the ‘Pragatisheel Shala Award’ for the year 2022-23 by Zilla Parishad Nagpur Secondary Education Department at the hands of newly elected Teacher MLC Mr. Sudhakar Adbale. This feat is the outcome of the hard efforts of dedicated team of teachers and staff under the iconic leadership of Principal Smt. Anju Bhutani.
Dignitaries present on the occasion were Ms. Soumya Sharma, CEO, Zilla Parishad,Mrs.VaishaliJamdar, Deputy Director, Education Department, Mr. ChintamanWanjari, President and Secretary, Maharashtra State Board, Nagpur Division, Mr. Ravindra Katolkar, Education Officer (Sec.) , Miss. Rohini Kumbhar, Education Officer (Pri.) and Mr. Sushil Bansod, Deputy Education Officer (Sec.) .
The criteria for award includes excellent academic performance, administration , achievements in sports and co-curricular activities at City, State, National and International level along with various amenities and facilities as well as the holistic learning environment provided by the school.
