The SGFI Fencing Nationals, organized by the DSO in Jagdalpur from January 16 to 19, witnessed an impressive performance by our very own Aashna Chaudhary. Competing with fervour and skill, Aashna secured the team bronze medal, along with a scholarship of ₹6750. She is also a proud recipient of a Gold medal from All India Fencing Association at the District Level event.
Aashna, a promising fencer, has concluded her advanced training, reflecting her dedication and hard work. She has consistently made her school proud at city, state, and national levels. Her participation in numerous state-level fencing competitions has resulted in an extensive tally of medals, showcasing her talent and determination.
Aashna's achievements are a testament to her perseverance and commitment to excellence in fencing. Her success at the SGFI Nationals is just one of the many accolades she has earned, setting a high standard for her peers and aspiring athletes. Our Chess Master Chirag Lahoti will represent Nagpur District in the upcoming Maharashtra State Under-11 Chess Championship to be held later this year.
Mast Chirag Lahoti won the open group title at the Nagpur District Under 11 Open Chess Championship organised by Chess Association Nagpur in collaboration with G. H. Raisoni Sports and Cultural Foundation and Kalpana Prakash Welfare Foundation at Vivekanand Hall, Shraddha House, Kingsway. Chirag scored 3.5 points out of six to be on top and won the Opeg Group title.
It is an honour for the school to harbour such pure talent and commitment. Principal Smt. Leena Varghese and staff members congratulated Smt. Balbir Kaur and Chirag for the future endeavours.
It was a moment of pride and accomplishment for Bhavans Civil Lines when the young team of archers brought laurels to their alma mater. Demonstrating their skill and dedication, Master Aryan Agarwal (Std - 4th B ), Master Krishank Mehadia (Std - 4th F ), and Master Shivansh Mehadia (Std - 4th E ) secured the second position in the Under-9 team event at the archery competition organized by the Andhra Pradesh Archery Association in Vijayawada.

Young Talent, Big Wins!
Our school's budding shuttlers have once again made us proud with their remarkable achievements in recent badminton tournaments.
Adairath Madankar from III B showcased exceptional skills, securing the first position in the Yonex Sunrise Nagpur District Amateur Summer Badminton Tournament. Adding to his accolades, he clinched the second position at the Yonex Sunrise Baidyanath Nagpur District Badminton Championship 2024. Both tournaments were held at Subhedar Badminton Hall, from 2nd May to 6th May and 21st June to 25th June respectively, under the age category of Under 9 Boys Singles.
Aahana Madankar from VIII D also delivered an impressive performance, earning the second position in the Yonex Sunrise Nagpur District Amateur Summer Badminton Tournament 2024. This event took place at Subedar Badminton Hall from 2nd May to 6th May, under the age category of Under 15 Girls Doubles.

From July 19th to 21st, 2024, the Subedar Hall in Ravi Nagar buzzed with excitement as the Bhagini Mandal Open Badminton Tournament, District level, unfolded. Our talented players Ira Rokade from IV A and Kanak Agarwal from VIII B made waves with their stellar performances. Under the guidance of their dedicated in-charge teacher, N. Punachandra, Ira Rokade secured 1st position in both the Girls Singles and Doubles Under 11 category. Kanak Agarwal achieved 2nd position in both the Girls Singles and Doubles Under 15 category. Their victories are a testament to their hard work, skill, and sportsmanship. Principal Smt Leena Varghese congratulated the winners.

From July 24th to 26th, 2024, the 14th St. Vincent Pallotti Memorial Chess Championship saw remarkable performances from the students of Bhavan’s Civil Lines, Nagpur, as they secured podium finishes across various categories.
In the Junior College category, Miss Saniya Sheikh of STD XI A claimed 1st place in the individuals’ segment, followed by Miss Namami Rathi of STD XI A who secured 2nd place, and Mast Aarush Alone of STD XI C who took 3rd place. The High School Boys Team, comprising Mast Subrat Meshram X C, Mast Jayesh Sure X E, Mast Ishant Talatule IX A, and Mast Siddharth Bang VI A, achieved the team 2nd position. Similarly, the High School Girls Team, including Miss Saanvi Asawa VI B, Miss Meher Gudadhe VI A, Miss Madhavi Goenka IX C, and Miss Samika Maloo IX A, also secured the team 2nd position.
All winners were awarded trophies, certificates, and medals. Principal Smt. Leena Varghese, along with the staff and students, extended their heartfelt congratulations to the victors for their outstanding achievements.

The Karate-Do Association of Nagpur held its District Level Tournament on September 16, 2023, and our young karatekas made us immensely proud with their outstanding performances.
Amishi Purohit of V Standard showcased exceptional skill, securing 1 Gold Medal and 1 Bronze Medal. Amaira Purohit of III Standard demonstrated remarkable dedication, earning 2 Gold Medals. Shaurya Mahakalkar of VII Standard exhibited impressive sportsmanship, winning 1 Gold Medal.

The annual Girls' Volleyball Inter-House Matches for students in Grades 9 through 12 was a spectacular showcase of athletic prowess and team spirit. The event transformed the court into a battleground where skill, strategy, and sheer determination were on full display.
From the first serve to the final whistle, the competition was fierce and exhilarating. Each house demonstrated exceptional teamwork and technique, making for a thrilling experience for players and spectators alike. The players executed impressive serves, powerful spikes, and precise sets, demonstrating the high level of training and commitment they had put into the game.
In the Std IX-X Category Lotus House emerged victorious, clinching the title with a combination of strategic gameplay and relentless energy. Lily House was the first runner-up. In Std XI-XII Category, Lily House stood winsome, while Daffodil was the runner-up. The athletes enthralled the students with sportsmanship and enthusiasm, which highlighted the essence of the event.
Congratulations to all participants for their outstanding performances and dedication. This tournament not only celebrated athletic excellence but also reinforced the spirit of camaraderie and fair play among our students.

Where Passion Meets the Pitch
The Inter-House Football Tournament for boys in grades 9 to 12 was a thrilling event, showcasing remarkable talent and sportsmanship. Over two weeks, the competition was fierce, with each house vying for the coveted trophy.
The tournament kicked off with a grand opening ceremony, setting an energetic tone. The early rounds were intense, featuring skillful plays and strategic maneuvers. Semi-final matches saw heightened excitement as teams battled vigorously, leading to the much-anticipated finals.
The final match was a spectacle of skill and determination, culminating in a dramatic, last-minute goal that decided the winner. In the Std IX-X Category, Lotus House was declared as the champions, and Daffodil House was the runner-up. In the Std XI-XII Category, Lotus House won the match, and Jasmine House bagged the runner-up position.The closing ceremony celebrated not only the champions but also the spirit of participation, with awards for outstanding players.
Overall, the tournament fostered unity and showcased the dedication and passion of our young athletes, leaving a lasting impression on the school community.

Vedika Pal, the young grandmaster of Bhavan's B.P. Vidya Mandir Civil Lines, is a Chess Prodigy from Std. V. She has been consistently participating and winning many Chess Championships. She brought laurels to the school when she clinched her second Gold Medal for India in the Classical format at Western Asia Youth Chess Championship 2023 in U-10 category which was held at Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan) from 30th June 2023 to 8th July 2023. Vivaan Saraogi of Std. VIl brought laurels to the school as well as to his motherland India. He had been invariably performing his best in chess since his tender age. He emerged second in Rating Category below 2100 in "XXII International Sant Marti FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2023" held at Sant Marti, Barcelona by winning 5.5 points from 13th to 21stly 2023.

seeded Abdul Khan 6-4 6-4 in the finals at the DALY College Synthetic Tennis Court, Indore.
In the Semi Final Akshat defeated his opponent to enter his first ever singles AITA finals. Principal Smt. Anju Bhutani congratulated teacher f-charge Smt. Balbir Kaur for her dedicated efforts.
